Data Scientist (m/f/d) - Retail
Your tasks

This role offers a unique opportunity to work at ERGO Group level on retail lines actuarial pricing topics. You have
the opportunity to work in a young, ambitious team to support the international property&casualty companies of
ERGO. We consult and advise on modelling, methods, how to make best use of data. ERGO is one of the biggest
European insurance companies with entities in Europe and Asia. ERGO is part of the Munich Re Group, the world's
largest reinsurer. In this position, you will:


• Be involved in pricing / ratemaking for international non-life insurance products

• Analyze data and apply predictive modelling, in particular for claims behavior

• Support international entities with their pricing, set up models, build tariffs and advise on methods and

approaches

• Use GLMs and machine learning approaches on various insurance-related topics like pricing, churn and lapse

probability, price sensitivity etc.

• Also spend time on data preparation beforehand, detecting data errors and finding and adjusting for missing data

(actual data doesn't look like academic data)

Your profile


• Master's degree in mathematics, in particular statistics/stochastics

• Fluency in any programming language and not afraid of programming

• A good command of English (German is a nice-to-have, but not a must-have)

• Readiness to travel international occasionally

• Good communication skills

• Open-minded person and team player

• High intercultural competency

• Preferred: you pursue a formal education or you are a member of an internationally recognized actuarial

organization.
