We are looking for a dedicated and tech-savvy actuary to complement our team of data experts and project managers. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our business process automation initiatives, equipping Munich Re’s global Life and Health accounting
community with state-of-the-art actuarial data processing. As such, your role will involve a wide range of responsibilities and exciting development opportunities.

Identify, design and implement solutions with our customers (technical accounting in Munich and the IO) to improve the quality and availability of data sources in their processes and infrastructure. Ensure the stabilization and enhancement of implemented solutions

Provide actuarial guidance and oversight in the development processes for automation and scaling solutions, and act as an operationally engaged sparring partner to ensure the professional functioning and success of the team

Contribute to future architectural and portfolio evolution towards a digital operation as part of the global process owner organization. Lead portfolio migration as well as onboarding of new (re)insurance products

Contribute to local and international projects/initiatives and act as an interface between operational interfaces and in/external IT.

Drive projects and act as a driver for automation. Share knowledge with the team and provide guidance

University degree in Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent with experience in actuarial IT implementations or portfolio transfers

Ability to understand complex (re)insurance products and translate them into actuarial and accounting systems

Strong knowledge in data processing and information technology; database knowledge, SQL and programming skills (C#, Python, R, …)

Experience with NoSQL, Azure Cloud ETL implementation and maintenance are an advantage

Practical experience in life (re)insurance and actuarial systems

Experience with data visualization and communication of analytical insights

Well organized with the ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize work effectively. Strong solution-driven team player with customer focus. Willingness to work in a highly international environment with occasional travel

Affinity to work in an agile framework and in a project team; Integrative personality with a positive mindset

Strong English and German skills, written and spoken
