Who will you be joining?
In your role as internal auditor, you will be part of the German Desk Practice Area Finance & Central Functions. You will strengthen a team covering audits in Accounting, Controlling, Risk Management, Actuary and Cross Functions. During the planning and execution of internal audits, you will conduct process analysis covering finance and central functions business, analyse deviations and assess the respective processes.
You are a business partner for management and support the improvement of the organisation in achieving its goals. You will also exchange with the international audit community on audits where your knowledge is needed. We are looking for a forward-thinking and results-oriented internal auditor with a very good understanding of finance and central functions business. The successful candidate will have experience in technical business analysis. She/he will contribute to the efficiency, productivity and success of Allianz Internal Audit.
How can you make an impact?
You will:
- Perform timely, high-quality and risk-oriented audits in the area of finance & central functions in compliance with the auditing standards of Allianz SE Audit German Desk.
- Add value through identifying areas of improvement when conducting process analysis with regard to governance, risk management and controls.
- Collaborate with other audit departments nationally and internationally.
- Contribute independent ideas for the further development of audit processes and methodologies.
- Show constructive and trusting cooperation through open and customer-oriented communication and present Internal Audit German Desk as a competent partner through professional appearance.
- conduct audits in the actuaries area and develop the audit approach.
What are you made of?
- University degree / Master's degree
- Actuarial background/qualification
- Experience in audit or finance related function: risk, finance controlling, and accounting
- In-depth knowledge of supervisory and legal requirements for financial service providers and / or, in particular, insurance companies
- Profound knowledge of German and English
- Quick comprehension, strong analytical thinking, creativity and a high degree of flexibility
- High level of commitment, resilience and initiative
- Confident demeanor, negotiating skills and assertiveness
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Previous experience in business related functions (i.e. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus
