PRT Transition Manager

Position Overview

The PRT Transition Manager is responsible for leading a series of complex conversion activities associated with new PRT deal transitions. The Transition Manager collaborates closely with their internal and external clients to create and deliver on a timeline of events to successfully transfer the administration of the pension plan. The Transition Manager acts as a key resource for activities to be performed by multiple parties including Plan Sponsors and Plan Administrators, Business Partners, Operational and Data Teams, Finance, Legal & Compliance and Business Development.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Onboarding process (with representatives from clients, intermediaries, and internal stakeholders) including solving complex problems in the transition phases (planning, administrative, meetings, data analysis and communications tasks) in support of the installation of new cases.
  • Support all due diligence processes, including creation of external materials, coordinating answers to due diligence questionnaires and participating in external meetings - having a significant impact on our market impressions.
  • Day to day communication with partner Transition Manager to ensure project timeline deliverables are successfully met.
  • Track issues and provide/drive issue resolution.
  • Work closely with internal legal team to create and execute upon key legal documents such as GAC and Certificates.
  • Coordinates with RGA's Data Team to successfully convert data received from pension plans to internal recordkeeping platform.
  • Partner with internal and external parties to create proper Welcome Communications and drive key readiness activities such as call center readiness, website readiness, operational processes, etc.
  • Provide weekly status reports to internal stakeholders from time of premium transfer to final GAC execution and Certificate issuance.
  • Ensure that the administration transitioned is being administered in accordance with contractual, regulatory, and legal document requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in relevant field
  • 7+ Years total work experience, including:
    • 2+ Years Project Management
    • 2+ years Customer Service
    • 2+ Years Insurance or Financial Services Industry
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Project management tools and techniques
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and challenging environment
  • Ability to accomplish and lead tasks through others
  • Takes initiative and is accountable
  • Ability to balance details with high level communication needs based on audience
  • Intermediate oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable presenting information to varied and mix audiences
  • Ability to balance priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to handle multiple projects/transitions at a time


Preferred:

  • Knowledge of PRT and/or group annuity products
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Willing to travel as needed for client meetings (up to 10%)
  • 1+ Year experience reading and interpreting legal and transaction documents
  • Experience with PRT installation and transition processes/management
  • Strong knowledge of PRT products, defined benefit pension regulations and pension plan de-risking, buy-out and buy-in PRT transactions

RGA offers a comprehensive total rewards package including a range benefits and flexible plans. The pay range for this position is $84,860 - $128,110 per year in addition to an annual bonus. Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location.
