Paris to host the 6th European Congress of Actuaries on 18-19 June 2026

More than 350 European specialists are expected to gather in Paris on June 18 and 19 for the 6th European Congress of Actuaries (ECA 2026). As a landmark event for the European actuarial community, it will foster dialogue among researchers, practitioners, and decision-makers from the insurance, finance, and risk management sectors, while also providing ample opportunities for professional exchange and conviviality.
A forum for exchange at the heart of European actuarial issues
With the theme “United in Diversity,” this edition aims to highlight the wide range and complementarity of approaches within the actuarial profession in Europe. The program will combine plenary lectures by renowned experts with technical sessions devoted to a wide range of topics: innovation, sustainability, data science, regulatory developments, and the transformation of insurance markets.
Beyond the lectures, ECA 2026 also seeks to strengthen ties within a dynamic European network of actuaries. At the heart of this effort, the Actuarial Association of Europe (AAE) plays a pivotal role in representing the profession at a continental level, working to harmonize practices and strengthen the stability of the European insurance market.
This event enables actuaries to exchange views on developments in the profession, anticipate emerging risks (climate, AI, regulation), and strengthen their skills through shared experience. It also serves to raise the visibility and influence of the actuarial profession within broader economic and financial debates.
For the French actuarial community, hosting the 6th European Congress of Actuaries is therefore a rare opportunity to discuss the profession’s current and future challenges collectively, while encouraging the exchange of ideas and skills across Europe.
Registration for this event is available through the AAE website.
