In the final edition of this year’s actupool Careers Newsletter we have some intriguing insights on young actuaries’ mindsets and tips for embarking on a successful year 2024. As the end of the year is traditionally the time to reflect on the past twelve months as well as setting the course for the future, we chose our headline topic to be 'Mindsetting – the Course for a Successful Year 2024'.

Regarding the past year, we still have some unsolved business: In June’s actupool Careers Newsletter we focused on Young Talents – with the intention of further emphasizing this topic owing to its importance. Hence, we are happy to share with you an exclusive glimpse into a survey that our Competence Partner Emerald Group conducted with young actuaries.

The distinct mindset of young professionals should not only be considered when recruiting talent, but might also be worth looking at for your own individual mental health. ’Reverse Mentoring’ might be a goal for your new year’s resolutions.
